Effects
Some of the more unusual jobs I've done. Click for full images

Wondersuck
Show required a cheesey "Hoover of the Future" This was built from 3 vacuum cleaners taken from a skip, and some general flashy bits I had on the shelf.

Wondersuck 2
The script required a red light to come on to show it had "warmed up", so I used a timer circuit to achieve this. The Director's dog also seemed to appreciate it.

Pubic Hair Removal Device
Simple things - the script required a practical "pubic hair removal device" to be attached to the Wondersuck - cheap set of chattering teeth a bracket attached to the original vent control to start/stop them. Always got a laugh.

Orca
Orca the fish. The first close-up stage effect I ever made. Fish had to die on command. Made from scrapyard parts and controlled via 3 15A dimmer connections.

Glass Tipper
I was asked if I could make a glass of wine tip over without the use of wires etc. Battery powered. This was for use in a ghost story show, close to the audience, hence all the equipment being hidden as much as I could. This test was an empty plastic pot.

Glass tipper on set
Glass tipper as described in previous video. I wish I'd known that there was going to be doors on the cabinet, it would have saved me a lot of hassle trying to hide the mechanism!

Smoke Machine in a Bus!
One of the most unusual (and frustrating) jobs to date - install a smoke machine and lighting in the engine bay of an old bus, which is hanging over the side of a hill. Working around the remnants of engine made it very difficult to make things neat. Also I had to modify the original rear light clusters to take LED units, 40 year old plastic is not fun to work with!
